Arrival in Papua New Guinea

Arrived tired, dragging and sleepless!
When we arrived on the station we were greeted by other missionaries! How fun! Soon after arrival they started coming to the house to introduce them selves. Then a young man Sam Bennett arrived at the door. His mother Judy had called and told us he was coming to give us the tour of the station. We had driven on some of the station and realized this was not going to be a quick tour. But this sounded like lots of fun! how ever Diane and I have now traveled for 38 hours from Boise, Idaho to get here and we had slept a little here and there. After Sam being at the door we thought oh well lets go see the station. Yeppers this was the thing to do! Well after what seemed to be an eternity walking in the sun we got tired, burned, sweaty and we were ready to go find a bed to go to sleep…….Well you might be able to see in the picture that we had Sam take that we were dragging. ug! After this picture we told Sam that we appreciated the tour but we are bee lining for the house! This has been fun but we know our limitations!

When arriving to Kudjip we found a market at the intersection not far from the from gate. The market is every day but is real busy on Friday and Saturday.

Not long after starting our drive from Mt. Hagen to Kudjip we saw along the road many grass homes and cooking huts that are typical along road and through out the country.
